URA Football club have gone joint top of the table with Vipers on a better goal difference following a 1-1 draw with Express FC at Wankulukuku stadium today in the FUFA Super League.
Sam Seknoomi netted the game’s opening goal after the break but Allan Kyambadde who was part of the Uganda Cranes squad in the CHAN finals in South Africa cancelled the taxpayers lead.
The result leaves both URA and Vipers on 36 points each a fter their 3-0 win over Proline FC last week, which took them to second place. URA’s goal difference of 19 is better than that of Vipers (14). Express moved just one place to 12th as they dislodged Proline to drop a place down to 13th but both are tied on 16 points with the red eagles having a better goal difference.
At KCCA Stadium, Uganda’s most decorated club SC Villa saw off home side Proline FC 1-0 to record their first second round win courtesy of Karim Ndugwa’s 90 minute winner.
SC Villa have now moved to 5th position on 33 points.
