Police Impounds Journey of Uganda Video CDS


The police have confiscated video CDS of a film titled “Journey of Uganda”.

The movie which shows all the presidents who have ruled Uganda since 1962, has been widely distributed in the down town Kampala at zero cost by unidentified people.

“The police have confiscated video CDS of a film entitled “THE JOURNEY OF UGANDA”, allegedly produced by Twerwaneko Group, and are being widely distributed in the down town areas of St Balikudembe, Kikuubo, Old and New Taxi Parks,” says the Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga in a statement.

The police have confiscated video CDS of a film entitled “THE JOURNEY OF UGANDA”, allegedly produced by Twerwaneko Group, and are being widely distributed in the down town areas of St Balikudembe, Kikuubo, Old and New Taxi Parks.

The video CDS are currently being examined by specialist officers who will also establish whether the video film was classified by the Censor Board at the Uganda Communications Commission.

We therefore, urge anyone who receives, possesses or finds the video film anywhere, not to view them because of the alleged inappropriate and violent content.

The police have so far recovered 20 video films, all of which are being investigated to establish the exact content, and associated risks, if at all.

We further call upon anyone who has received the video CD’s or has any information which could assist in our investigation to contact the police or pass it in confidence.

We will endeavor to keep the public informed of any significant developments as we appreciate their concerns.
