Kampala University student Nayondo was first in the women’s 1500m in 4.20.40 ahead of Stephanie Barnes from Great Britain (4.25.37) and Dutch Marijke de Visser in 4.25.11.

It was the Ugandan duo’s second consecutive event in Europe within a week as they look to gain momentum for upcoming Commonwealth Games that they have already qualified for.

Nanyondo has already achieved her target with her biggest career win after she beat former world champion Castor Semenya and Great Britain’s Jennifer Meadows to finish second and run 1:59.39 in the FBK Games in Hengelo on Sunday.

Musagala on the other hand would be looking at achieving his target, having run 1:45.27 on Sunday.
