Swedish-born Ugandan Martin Mutumba has joined newly promoted Turkish Super League side Caykur Rizespor.

The hitherto AIK Stockholm player signed a two and a half year-deal with the Turkish outfit on Monday after spending five years with the Swedish club, in between featuring for Videoton.

The 28-year-old reportedly spent close to three weeks playing trial matches at the Turkish Sports Club in Rize.

Mutumba has previously played for academy side Vasalunds IF before crossing over to Cafe Opera United, Vasby United, Videoton. He made his debut for Uganda in June last year in an away World Cup qualifier against Angola.
