Museveni Effects Mini Reshuffle In UPDF

A mini reshuffle has been carried out within the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) with several mid rank officers shuffled around.

It is not clear if anything sinister triggered off the changes, but UPDF spokesman Richard Karemire said these changes are routine.

The changes see Brig Stephen Kashure who was Director of Operation Wealth Creation Operations (OWC) appointed the Deputy Commandant at the UPDF Senior Command and Staff College, Kimaka.

Col Bob Ogik who was Commander for UPDF Battle Group XIV of AMISOM in Somalia has been appointed Coordinator Senior Command and Staff College in Kimaka.

Brig Chris Bossa who has been the Deputy Commandant at Kimaka will from now on be Commandant at the UPDF College of Logistics and Engineering.

Charles Byaruhanga (col) the hitherto Deputy Chief of Staff for AMISOM returns home to head Kaweweta Recruit Training School while Col Kefa Nangeso is the new Director of Personnel.

Col Herbert Mbonye flies to Nigeria as defence advisor.

Col Michael Eswapu the new Chief of Staff at the Uganda Rapid Deployment Capability Centre while Col Ceazar Bahwezi appointed Director of Records.
