MUK Student Stabbed Over Sex

Police in Wandegeya are investigating the circumstances under which a student of Makerere University was stubbed into comma from his hostel of residence.

Nyikang John Clement, 42, of Sudanese origin and resident of Nana hostel was on Friday night stabbed by unknown assailants in his room.

Nyikang is a student of Makerere University under adult education programme and a tutor at ministry of Energy industry and fisheries in South Sudan.

According to eye witnesses at his residence, John was stabbed on his way from the country’s embassy while drunk.

Shortly after, someone knocked on his door before forcefully entering and stabbing him.

Security officers at Nana hostel told our reporter that after the incident, they informed police and the victim was rushed to Mulago Hospital for treatment.

However, another source close to the victim told our reporter that while at the Embassy drinking beer and chatting, they developed some misunderstandings over a sexy Sudanese baby whose name was not identified and later caused commotion at the Embassy.

The source added that the group exchanged bitter words in the ensuing argument.

Kampala Metropolitan Police mouth piece, SP Patrick Onyango confirmed the incident saying that the victim was attacked by some people who are not yet known and police is still investigating the matter.

“The victim was in his room preparing his source of fish and slicing tomatoes when the goons forcefully opened the door and stabbed him,” Onyango said.

Nyikang was transferred from Mulago and is currently admitted at Case clinic where he is nursing severe wounds and injuries that he sustained.

A Police file vide CRB 1035/15 was opened at Wandegeya Police Station to help them carry out their investigations.
