Muhumuza, Segawa Fights Takes Shape|BOXING

Fred Muhumuza and Sula Segawa train for their November 1st fight night.

Beside PowerHorse energy drinks, fast-raising Ugandan professional boxers Fred Muhumuza and Sula Segawa will look at the presence of South African retired Heavy weight professional boxer Francois Botha as an inspiration when they take on their opponents during the Mogas national championships due November 1 at Club Obligato in Kampala Martin Kaddu reports.

“He is an inspiration, I have watched some of his videos and have shaped me a lot”, noted Muhumuza.

Muhumuza will face Kenya’s Patrick Amote in a 10-round superlight weight non-title contest while Sula Segawa will be up against Congo Brazaville’s Herve Zongo in an 8 round bantam weight non title contest.

The unbeaten Muhumuza won his last fight in 2012 against Hamza Sempewo on points while Amote lost to Zebra Senyange during his last visit to Kampala.

The super middleweight title rematch between Robert ‘Ring Doctor’ Kamya and Charles Kakande is the other thrilling fight on card while another heavyweight boxer Hudson Muhumuza will be tussling Kenya’s James Aloro in a six round non title fight.

Energy drinks bottlers joined Uganda Boxing Union and MOGAS Uganda in their effort to bring Botha alongside Howard Goldberg ,the president of the World Boxing Federation to which UBU subscribes to Kampala and will stay in Uganda for three days to grace the fight and formerly launch a long term working relationship with UBU and the World Boxing Federation (WBF).
