Ethics and Integrity Minister Simon Lokodo is ‘stable’ after suffering a minor stroke and getting airlifted from Kalangala and booked at the Uganda Heart Institute, Mulago.
Lokodo fainted and passed out as he prepared to open an ethics workshop on the island of Kalangala sending colleagues into panic mode.
He received first aid from a Health Centre IV before an army chopper airlifted him to Kampala.
Specialists at the heart institute further stabilized him and admitted him for the night. They run tests and were confident he would make a full recovery.
