Mapeera FC Excels In Entebbe Mayor’s Cup

Mapeera FC is flying high in the first edition of Mayor’s Cup
tournament after registering two consecutive wins against Leopard FC
and Red Rooster FC.

The other three teams in the completion include Entebbe FC, Viva Fc, and Manyago Fc.

In the first match, Mapeera FC defeated Leopard FC by 2-0 and last
week on Thursday it proved its dominance in the ongoing Mayor’s cup
after defeating stubborn Red Rooster FC by 2-1.

Mapeera Fc’s talisman Saturday Allan opened the scoring in 10 seconds
and later after 80 minutes he scored the winner goal after Rooster had equalised a few minutes to the start of the second half.

The tournament organizer Mayor Vincent De Paul Kayanja, said the ongoing tournament is aimed at promoting talent among the youths and that each of the six participating teams already received playing kits courtesy of the mayor of Wuhan city in China.

Kayanja disclosed that at the end of the tournament Entebbe Municipality will select one team from the six participating teams that will represent the municipality in the International championship that will be held in Wuhan city of China.
