Police is investigating circumstances under which unknown assailants killed a man a few meters from Jinja road and cut out his heart, private parts and other organs.
The 30 year old man who has been identified as Micheal Mukwasi a former convict of Luzira Prison is believed to have been killed on Monday morning and his body dumped near UMA show grounds in a bush at the former Nakawa Housing estate.
Herbert Wanyoto, the Kampala Metropolitan East Regional Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Directorate (CIID) boss, think Mukwasi was killed where his body was found.
There was a similiar case in 2011 when a two month old boy Akram was killed and body parts harvested in Kampala. He had been missing for two days.
Police later arrested and prosecuted Ali Mugerwa, of Masajja B Kibira Zone for the murder of his own child. The father allegedly doused his wife with chloroform before abducting the toddler in the dead of the night.
