The Uganda U-15 National football team has shown growing intensity ahead of the CECAFA U-15 championship with yet another scintillating performance in the build-up match ahead of the regional tourney that kicks off in the Eritrean capital Asmara on Saturday.
Just after beating Jinja SS 3-0 in the first build-up at Njeru, the lads recorded a 5-0 win over Rays of Graces Primary school (Odilo Championship Runners Up) at the same venue, in the game watched by FUFA President Eng Moses Magogo on Tuesday afternoon.
Team head coach Jackson Magera gave all players including foreign-based Mawanda Gabriel Twaib (NASA Top Hart-USA) and Basil Tuma Tenywa (Eton College, Windsor, United Kingdom) who all impressed.
“The two games have been a good test and we are well prepared for the challenge ahead.
However, we shall need to work hard on our attack and capitalizing on scoring opportunities because the defense is fine” said Magera. Notably, after the match, the players had a session with FUFA President Eng Moses Magogo, who took them through what they need if they want to be professional players.
“It is at this age that you should start developing your minds towards thinking about becoming professional football players.
It is only your mind and discipline that will help you achieve this, not the genes, or the height or the body size” the FUFA President noted.
