Daily Monitor’s Daniel Kalinaki Fired

Info reaching us is that Mr Daniel Kalinaki, former Managing Editor of the Daily Monitor  has been sacked.According to an internal Memo dated may 4,  Managing Director Alex Asiimwe said Kalinaki will be leaving Monitor Publications today to join the company’s Mother Group in Nairobi as Regional Content Managing Editor.

 Mr Daniel Kalinaki has been replaced by Wanyama who has been the Newspaper’s chief sub editor. Asiimwe said the Kalinaki’s Nairobi appointment takes effect on June 1, 2013 “but Daniel will be proceeding on leave as he prepares for this appointment.” Kalinaki has worked for Monitor Publications for over 10 years having joined as a freelancer. on his Facebook Page The New Managing Editor Don Wanyama promised to Uphold the News paper’s Truth Everyday Tagline.
