Chief Viewer of Zari’s Eclipse to Perform at Uganda Festival In The US


Tanzanian Bongo Flava artiste, Africa’s super star and Chief viewer of Zari’s dry eclipse, Naseeb Abdul Juma popularly known as Diamond Platinumz will be chief headliner at the Uganda Festival in the world’s entertainment capital-Los Angeles.

The gathering that is the summer’s ultimate event is organized by Ugandans in the diaspora under their umbrella UNAA Causes will be a three day event starting September 2 to September 4 at the luxurious JW Marriott hotel.

The fun filled convention will kick start with a grand opening performance by the “Number one” singer and will proceed with performances from Ugandan artistes; Sheebah Karungi, David Lutalo and Navio Kigozi.

At the event, Africa’s Top Model Aamito Lagum, who is currently based in New York, will host a fashion show where different Diaspora designers will showcase their outfits.

Sheila Gashumba and Robin Kisti will also host the Black Tie cocktail events during one of the days.

There will be a boat cruise dinner dubbed the Endless Dreams Dinner Cruise on the Endless Dreams Yacht to Rainbow Harbor- Long beach.

“The Uganda Festival is about creating memories; there will also be  tours to Hollywood, Los Angeles area Museums, Disneyland, Universal studios, and more,” the organisers said.

“$ 199 covers The grand opening including Diamond Platnumz, The Black Tie Dinner Gala and all Hotel Entertainment organized by Unaa Causes. Diamond Platnumz only early bird is $ 50 and $ 75 at the venue. The Dinner Boat Cruise will cost $ 99,” a statement from UNAA Causes reads in part.

However, the three day convention will not be an only entertainment bonanza as there will also be a business expo, bringing together entrepreneurs from Africa and United States to share tips, experiences and opportunities.

As citizens of the world we care about strengthening our community institutions, living healthy, fighting to eliminate poverty and we strive to preserve our great family values that are a treasure for the young generation,” the statement continues.

WHAT IS UNAA CAUSES

Since 1988, Ugandans in North America have been coming together each year in a chosen North American city.

These gatherings are the largest, most persistent and the most anticipated association of Ugandans in the diaspora.

The goals are to stimulate and encourage nationwide acquaintance and fellowship among members in North America, Europe and Uganda.

The mission is to bring together Ugandans now living in North America and create a platform on which they can network, share, and experience Ugandan culture and the abundant opportunities of their new homes abroad.
