Big Win – Red Pepper Makes Light Work Of MTN
Red Pepper made light work of MTN during a corporate friendly soccer game on Saturday.
The Hyenas defeated the leading telecommunications company 4-1 in a one-sided affair in fair conditions at Namboole stadium.
Morris Karomaniz opened the scoring as early as the third minute to silence the buoyant visiting crowd to set up a stunning but expected home victory.
MTN put up some resistence, but it was not so long when Nicholas Odong added the second in the 27th minute, to give the home side a comfortable 2-0 lead.
The Hyenas continued probing MTN, when the game resumed and marksman Alex ‘Benzema’ Kitatta scored the third goal after 64 minutes before Ivan Okot put the icing on the cake with a 70th minute winner.
Siraje W. scored MTN’s consolation, a beauty of its own at the 75-minute mark.
The victory aside, it was an evening to savour as the after party was World Cup style. A table of feasting was set at Inferno Bar and there were no losers as the night fell.
wow
It would be better to play Red Pepper Staff against other company staff instead. Other teams bring their actual staff members and Red Pepper fields their entire RP sponsored (Big league registered) is it The Saints FC. It spoils the “FUN” in the engagement!! But it is a nice idea to step out & have fun though….
