Women: Stormers Vs KCCA 6:30pm

Men: Angels Vs Warriors 8:30pm

Riham Warriors close 75-70 victory over KIU Titans on Friday could only work as an eye-opener for the Airtel National Basketball League men’s defending champions as they seek their 7th successive win against Ndejje Angels at the MTN Arena Lugogo.

But trust flashy Ndejje coach Obedi Walker to spoil Warrior’s good run.

“If my boys follow our game plan tonight (Wednesday), Warriors will fall,” Walker told Red Pepper Online on Wednesday.

“They (Warriors) are defending champions and for that every team has to be be cautious when playing them,” he added.

“And I have most of my senior players back remember.”

But with stars Geoffrey Soro, Jonah Otim, Steven Okias and Brian Sentongo all set to return for the university side, Warriors may find it hard to run through Ndejje’s defence like it happened in the first round when Malinga’s 14 and Ronnie Kasewu’s 13 points inspired the Kyambogo based side to a 60-53 victory.

“It (first leg)was a close call but losing the game in the first minute made us go back and work on our final quarter postings so expect us to come out for a win,” the Ndejje coach intimated to us.

Nevertheless, the defending champions will look to an inhabiting Tanzanian import Sylvian Yunzu scored season high 10 points against KIU, his first time to score in double figures since joining Warriors while a fit again Henry Malinga alongside Ivan Enabu and Ronnie Kasewu could break any team.

In the women’s division, KCCA Leopards will look to rebound from the 42-50 shock loss to KIU Rangers on Sunday when they face Magic Stormers who have won the last two game and all their losses have come against KCCA and UCU.
