Oxygen Shortage Strikes, Tooro Princess Dies

Kabarole – Princess of Tooro Kingdom, Adyeeri Damalie Noel Komukyeya has breathed her last on Saturday after failing to secure oxygen at medical facility.

Reports reaching this site confirmed the demise of Princess Adyeeri Damalie Komukyeya that occurred Saturday June 26, 2021.

Veteran journalist, Andrew Mwenda took to his social media to share his distress over Adyeeri’s passing after failing to secure oxygen..

“She was in good health last night. This morning she got breathing difficulties, was taken to hospital but there was no oxygen. So she died!” said Mwenda.

“The Royal Palace of Kiguma, we announce the death of Princess Adyeeri Damalie Noel Komukyeya, daughter of Omukama of Tooro Kingdom Sir George Kamurasi Rukidi III and Lady Abwooli Kezia Byanjeru, which occurred today,” read the notice.

A section of the people of Tooro eulogised Princess Komukyeya as an advocate of Love and justice in the Kingdom.

“Adyeeri was a true Princess of Tooro in advocating for Love and Justice, and a Royal called one of Heaven. She had chosen to follow Messiah Yeshua,”said Araali Kasagama, a member of the deceased’s family.

Princess Komukyeya was a renowned member of the Church community and shall be missed for her love for God.

“Like the dear panteth for water brooks, she was a committed member of Bible Study Fellowship at All All Saints’ Cathedral, Kampala, and back home a Member of St. John’s Cathedral Kabarole,” said Kasagama..

A true worshipper of Adonai in Truth and Spirit (John 4:24), Adyeeri is survived by the husband Amooti Patrick Kankya and five children; Florence Kankya-Rutaroh, Ruth Kabonero, Daisy Kezia Kankya, Lydia Kankya and Patrick Kankya Jnr.
