Boyfriend Africa is an International African Artist from Uganda. Mostly known as the new king of soul and love music for his great talent and skills.
He shared with us his success story shortly after releasing his hit song Fall in love. The song is currently trending on all radio, TV and online platforms. He also dreams of making Winnie Nwagi his wife.

What first got you into music?

It is a very long story but in brief I was inspired by a family member. This person realized a big music talent in me and encouraged me to go and sing.

Boyfriend Africa is an International African Artist From Uganda. Mostly known as the new king of soul and love music for his great talent and skills.

Briefly tell us your music background?

I don’t remember when I started music but I just found music within me.I started mostly as a music producer back in a days, worked in different studios
And also founded my own studio with one of my family member. So as time went on through composing and writing songs I found out that I can make a very good artist that
Create history Ugandan and African music at large so I decided to become a Musician/Artist

Was your family supportive in the first place?

Yes of course though it was little bit hard for them because I come from a muslim Family.

Who inspired you to make music?

I was too much inspired by mostly American Artists the likes of Drake, Omarion, John legend, Bruno Mars

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

African Soul type of music.Music that hits you and you don’t feel any pain.

With no doubt your songs are receiving massive airplays, in your thinking, what contributed to this?

Talent its self has contributed too much plus how organised Boyfriend Africa as a brand. I thank the people on my management for the great job they are doing to keep the brand active

Let’s talk about fall in love song, what is the message behind this song? We’re you crying out for love or?

With fall in love as a song I was deeply involve with the concept of the song definitely I was crying out for love. The message behind the song was largely about me showing that girl how much am falling for her.

Who writes your songs?

I use a couple of writers for my song my songs including.Nessim Productions who wrote Tolembesa Ngalo and Fall in love. Plus St Andrew music who wrote my latest song titled Ensaalwa

Which artists would you wish to collaborate with?

In Uganda I would like to collaborate with Winnie Nwaggie from swangz avenue I really like the way she sings also Dimond platinums from Tanzania

What is one message you would give to your fans?

I have introduced a new wave of sound to the Ugandan and African music industry so they should expect massive and great tunes from Boyfriend Africa

Yes I do, I sing a lot of different songs

I would an entrepreneur

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

It has advanced and eased the distribution and publishing of music

What has been your greatest challenge in the UG music industry?

Music Promotion.

What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

I was once scammed by some people pretending to be music promoters.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

My best advice is to be patient

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

I would transform our dead copyright law system into a working one
