Jinja RPC Impersonator Arrested For Conning Asian Investors

A suspected Police impostor who allegedly conned money from Jinja Investors has been arrested.
Mukiibi Gabriel 39, a resident of Wakitaka Cell in Mafubifra who is being detained at the infamous Nalufenya police station allegedly, fleeced money from Keshwala Group of Companies impersonating Kiira Regional Police Commander (RPC) Dauda Hiriga.
The Kiira region police spokesperson, Abbey Ngako while addressing journalists at Nalufenya on Tuesday says that Mukiibi alleges that he is the Kiira Regiona RPC and was looking for funeral finances for officers who lose their relatives.
‘’ His arrest followed a number of complaints from the public that he has been cheating people from selling them fake land. He also impersonated the RPC for Kiira Region and conned money from Keshwala Company alleging that he lost his wife’’, Ngako told Reporters .
He added that the suspect has also been dealing in counterfeit money where a number of locals have fallen victim to his vices.
‘’He picked about Shs 700,000 from Keshwala Company and went to another company in the same vicinity for the same. We have been looking for him since late last year but he has been so slippery on ground but very dangerous in action’’, added Ngako.
Ngako revealed that the suspect will be charged with Fraud, Land Grabbing, acquiring money through false pretense among other cases.
A section of locals who preferred anonymity, said that this is the first time for the suspect to use the same method to rob unsuspected residents in the area.
