It is no longer breaking news that Vipers Sports Club has a 70 seater bus after pictures of this Scania made monster vehicle first leaked to the public a few hours ago. Viper sports club new luxurious bus is an Irizar PB model – of Scania make measuring( in inches ) width of 2250, 2920 (length) and a height of 3876. It is a 70 seater with well-cushioned seats and a lavatory. You would not need to look for its number plates but rather, a customized version with the inscriptions “Vipers SC” treats one to the face and hind of this colossal vehicle.
The bus driver, Yasin Omar, and his right-hand man Gregory Ssesanga, a turn boy highly worship and adore this bus to the brim. For weeks now, many have been kept guessing the key specifications of this unique bus. The bus is well conditioned with good furnished seats and lavatories for self-convenience. Vipers Sports Club president Lawrence Mulindwa with an enviable wide ear to ear smile officially unveiled the bus before the media on Tuesday, 30th July 2019 at the St Mary’s Stadium. “This is not merely a bus. This is a coach. It is our baby. It is not ordinary and it costs as much although I will not disclose the money” Mulindwa said.
Besides the fancy bus, Kitende based Uganda Premier League outfit Vipers Sports club has officially unveiled the player ahead of the 2019-20 season. The 13 players were unveiled yesterday before the media at their St Mary’s Kitende fortress. These include goalkeeper Denis Kiggundu, defenders Rashid Toha, Paul Willa, Ahmed Amayo and Jacob Okao. Others are midfielders Siraje Sentamu, Frank Tumwesigye, Abdul Karim Watambala, Richard Basangwa, Najib Iga, Allan Kayiwa as well as two forwards Henry Kitegenyi and Denis Mwemezi.
Furthermore, six of these new players have been promoted from the famous St Mary’s SS team, the reigning champions of the national Copa championship. The promoted players are Kiggundu, Okao, Amayo, Watambala, Basangwa, and Iga. Two players Tumwesigye who was on loan at Express last season and hard-tackling midfielder Sentamu (from Uganda Revenue Authority) return home.
The rest of the new players Mwemezi (Ssese Ssaza), Toha (Onduparaka), Willa (Police), Kayiwa (Tooro United) and Kitegenyi (Kansai Plascon) are fresh recruits from other clubs. “I am set for the new challenge ahead of me. It is a big opportunity that I return to a place I call as home,” Tumwesigye noted.
