Airtel Uganda commences Ramadan Special giveaways -19 Districts To Benefit From Initiative

Airtel Uganda has commenced it’s signature country-wide Ramadan Special giveaways. Foodstuff to be given away to fasting Muslims include rice, maize flour, sugar among others. They will be distributed to 19 beneficiary districts around the country to support Muslim communities as they prepare for Iftar during this Holy Month. “We are strongly committed to the community we operate in. Giving alms is one of the pillars of Islam. Our intention is to keep with the traditions of this auspicious time of the year on the Islamic calendar and as well stay connected with customers,” Mr. Ali Balunywa, the Airtel Uganda Sales

Director said during the launch at Gaddafi National Mosque on Friday.  The Management of Gadafi National Mosque thanked Airtel for the gesture and encouraged Ugandans to emulate these acts of selflessness especially during Ramadan. Airtel will be visiting different communities and mosques in the districts of; Kampala, Masaka, Mbale, Mbarara, Lira, Kamuli, Fortportal, Gulu, Iganga, Hoima, Jinja, Arua, Tororo, Kabale, and many others.
