Kampala Indian Tycoon Shumuk Charged, Wish Katatumba Was Alive

Late Bonney Katatumba died a miserable man after fighting long battles to save his properties. His family members cried after their family tormentor Mukesh Shukla alias Shumuk was charged.

Yeterday the Nation was shocked after Uganda Police arrested Shumuk  for forging Justice Katureebe’s Signature on Case Numbers 1. CID HQ GEF 1089/2017 – Foger2. CID HQ LPPU GEF 189/2017 – Threatening Violence – Stealing Titles.

Today, Shumuk was arraigned before Buganda Road Magistrate Court and dully charged with six counts.

Angela Katatumba did not sit down after the death of her father. She accused him of forging signatures and uttering false documents in a property dispute with her late father Bonny Katatumba.

The Chief Executive Officer of Shumuk Aluminum Industries was charged with six counts of forgery, six counts of uttering false documents and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony.

Prosecution told court that Shukla and others still at large on April 17, 2015 in Kampala, with intent to defraud or deceive, forged a letter for official handover of Hotel Diplomate in Muyenga, a Kampala suburb, purporting to have been signed by the late Katatumba.

According to TMC, the state prosecutor further revealed that the businessman also allegedly forged signatures of Anne Grace Katatumba, Angella Katatumba, Rugirwa Katatumba, Ian Katatumba and ASP George William Karyegira which he would later use to utter false documents for the official handover of the hotel in question.
