The Regional Security Chiefs held a meeting with Charles Peter Mayiga, Buganda’s Kingdom Prime Minister over his his visit to Kooki County.
The Prime Minister is on his way to Rakai district where he will visit St. Bernard Manya Secondary School which was set on fire by unknown people burning 11 students to death, and many others students escaped with serious fire burn injuries.
Police advised him to wait for clearance after they got communication from Kamuswaga Sansa Kabumbuli who said he was not aware of the visit, according to the Regional Police Commander, Latif Zaake.
The meeting took place at Hotel Brovad in Masaka district.
A security sources has denied information of blocking Buganda’s Prime Minister warning media from repeating same mistakes like Kayunga Crisis.
” We had a cordial meeting over his visit to Kooki County and is on his way”.
Media was awash with information that Prime Minister (Katikkiro) of Buganda Kingdom, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga has been blocked from visiting Kooki, in greater Masaka.
Katikkiro will also visit farmers in Rakai to promote coffee growing.
Kayunga Crisis started in September 2009 after Uganda police blocked the then Prime Minister. Buganda Kingdom agreed with the Central Government on how to handle issues of security.
