Uganda Christian University (UCU) will graduate 373 students from 28 undergraduate and 17 graduate programs this Friday, March 2nd, 2018 at her main campus in Mukono, according to the University press office.
The 205 (55%) males and 168 (45%) make up UCU’s first out of the planned seven graduation ceremonies across UCU Campuses and Constituent Colleges this year.
It is also the 6th part of her 18th graduation ceremony. The graduands include 356 Ugandans and 17 foreign students from Kenya (1), Tanzania (3), DRC Congo (4), South Sudanese (8) and Malawi (1). Of the 373 graduating, six students will walk away with first class degrees.
The guest of honour for the graduation is the Bishop of Mityana diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Kazimba.
The graduation ceremony will start at 9am with a Commissioning Service, a formal farewell session during which graduands are blessed and prayed for before their graduation.
UCU holds seven graduation ceremonies annually at its Main Campus and regional campuses and constituent colleges. They comprise of three graduation ceremonies at the UCU Main Campus in Mukono, two graduation ceremonies at UCU Mbale University College (MUC, Mbale) and two graduation ceremonies at Bishop Barham University College, (BBUC, Kabale). Students at UCU Kampala Campus and UCU Arua Campus graduate from the Main Campus in Mukono.
