Akol Sweats Blood as She Faces Tough Questions from COSASE

The Parliament’s committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises is this morning meeting with Uganda Revenue Authority Boss, Doris Akol to make her account for the Shs6bn oil cash reward.
COSASE which is headed by the no nonsense Abdul Kantuntu was selected by parliament to investigate the controversial presidential handshake involving the payment of 6 billion shillings to 42 government top shots.
Yesterday the committee, met with the mover of the motion, Michael Tusiime who presented evidence of cash transactions showing that the said money was shared by 35 beneficiaries contrary to the stated number of 42.
According to Abdul Katuntu, the committee has a lot of people to meet including the president himself who authorized the disbursement of this huge sum of money.
He said that other people to meet include the secretary to treasury, governor bank of Uganda, minister of finance, Uganda law society, NGO forum, director Budget and others.
The committee is expected to be done with its investigations in two months time.
