Suspected Maj Kiggundu Killers Netted

The yet to be identified two boda boda men have been arrested in connection to the murder Maj Muhammad Kiggundu who was gunned down late November at Masanafu in Kampala.

The suspects were arrested on Thursday last week by police after being suspected of transporting the assassins that killed late Kiggundu.

Maj Kiggundu who was also husband to the renowned traditional herbalist, Mama Fiina was gunned down alongside his body guard Stephen Mukasa on November 26 as they were travelling in a UPDF pickup.

According to the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson, Emilian Kayima, the killers were riding on two boda bodas and these two suspects are to help the police in investigations.

“We have two suspects in our cells at Nalufenya Police station. We are interrogating them to establish whether they participated in the murder of Maj Kiggundu,” Kayima said.

Currently, the number of suspects arrested in connection to the incident now amount to six.

These include Sheikh Yahaya Mwanje, the acting Tabliq Sect leader at Nakasero Mosque and three security operatives.
