PHOTOS!! Maurice Kirya Concert Flops

Uganda’s self-proclaimed King of Mwoyo, Maurice Kirya joined the group of flop generals after registering a very low turn up at his ‘Kirya Live 2016’ Concert held at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday night.

Very few fans and maintenance team were at the venue by the time the performances began.

Previously, Kirya’s concert would sell out thousands of seats and smash attendance records.

The crowd would be too rowdy especially women who have the unending love for the Misubawa singer.

This time round, things did not go on well since he had few people and they all looked unhappy because of the boring performance.

But sometimes things don’t go as intended for either the artist or the promoter.

Perhaps the event was poorly planned or advertised. Maybe the ticket prices were too high, or Kirya isn’t popular enough as he used to be.

Whatever the reason may be, some concerts flop harder and his was not different from the ones of General Mega Dee at Hotel Africana, Mun G at Kati Kati, Chameleone and Davido at Kyadondo Rugby grounds, Navio at Kati Kati, Chris Martin at Freedom City and many more concerts.

“Kirya had no hit songs this year and he has been so quite. How do you expect people to attend a concert to listen to your old songs that no longer receive airplay?” wondered a music expert.

Others disclosed that the last time Kirya had a concert at Kampala Serena hotel, he duped his fans by singing for less than one hour.
