Lawyers representing former Intelligence Chief Gen. David Tinyefuza aka Sejusa who was arrested on Saturday have said their client is not shaken by the incarceration.
Davis Mushabe one of the lawyers who met Sejusa yesterday at Makindye Military barracks said the four star military general is in good health.
“We met with him. We found him in good health and he is still in high spirit, he is not shaken by the arrest,” Mushabe said.
Ladislaus Rwakafuuzi, another lawyer who met Sejusa said the former intelligence chief believes his arrest is illegal.
He was arrested in an operation led by Deputy Chief of Defence Forces of Uganda Lieutenant General Charles Angina who was acting on orders of Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Katumba Wamala.
He will be arraigned in General Court Martial in Makindye today.
Army sources say he will be charged for statement uttered while in exile in 2013.
Sejusa said Dr Kizza Besigye, won the February 23, 2006 vote with a 69 per cent margin.
President Museveni, he said, had managed less than 30 per cent of the ballot but rigged the elections.
Uganda Media Centre chief Ofwono Opondo yesterday said; “Government is following and investigating reports that appear to link Gen. David Sejusa aka Tinyefuza to some of these groups, and if found to be true appropriate actions will certainly be taken to curtail and neutralise his activities.”
