1000 MUK Students Miss Exams Over Debts

Makerere University students were on Monday shocked when they woke up to a document on the notice board detailing the list of students who are defaulting tuition fees and hence not allowed to sit for their end of semester examinations which are currently taking place at the university.

The authorities say that they had informed the students about the early payments through their emails but they were a bit hesitant to inform their parents about the same, a thing the university couldn’t allow.

Now over 1,000 students are not doing the exams and one Mackline Najuna was overheard ranting that she is a finalist but she now wont graduate because of the failure to do exams which she found unfair.

University publicist, Ritah Namisango told our reporter that the students would not sit their exams for debts dating as far as August this year till today.
