President Museveni has appointed Bukedea Woman MP Rose Akol as the new Internal Affairs minister to replace late General Aronda Nyakairima who died on September 11th, 2015 aboard plane from South Korea.


In a mini reshuffle, Museveni also appointed Veteran politician Kirunda Kivejinja as Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Affairs.

Hon. Werikhe Kafabusa MP for Bungokho South constituency in Mbale district has been appointed state Minister for Industry replacing James Shinyabulo Mutende who died early October.

“I write to request you, to as required by article 113 and 114 of the 1995 constitution of the Republic of Uganda approve the following persons that I have appointed to the respective positions in government Mr. Kirunda Kivejinja Rt. Hon. Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Affairs, Madame Rose Akol Internal Affairs Minister, Mr. Werikhe Kafabusa State Minister for Industry. I forward the names to you for scrutiny and approval,” Museveni wrote to Speaker of Parliament Kananga on 13th November
