The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission late last night said it has postponed the party primaries for flag bearers in the Parliamentary(including Women Representatives), Local Council 5 and Municipality national elections slanted for today to Tuesday.
In a press statement signed Electoral Commission Deputy Chairperson John Arimpa Kigyagi; he said that the party regrets inconveniences.
“The National Resistance Movement Electoral Commission announces the postponement of the party primaries elections which were slanted for tomorrow Monday the 26th of October to Tuesday the 27th October, 2015 throughout the country,” the statement reads.
“We regret any inconveniencies caused.”
National Resistance Movement flag bearer elections were supposed to take place on 25th September but postponed arguing that the party needed more time for enough preparations to ensure a free and fair elections in the party.
