Total Uganda Injects Shs100m in Kampala City Festival

As the excitement for the annual Kampala City carnival hits pitch fever, Total Uganda the leading distributor of fuel and lubricants in Uganda has announced a sponsorship package of Shs100m to the event.

In addition, all first time customers who purchase a gas cylinder during this period will instantly win VIP invitations to the Totalgaz Tent.

While unveiling this year’s sponsors for the carnival at KCCA today, Jennifer Musisi, KCCA Executive Director said,

“We have a great history in Kampala that is known the world over and the Festival will be recognition of that rich heritage and colour. It is also a great opportunity for Uganda to show the world that we truly are a Centre of excellence and The Pearl of Africa.”

Ms. Lois Tusiime, the Marketing Communication & Innovation Manager at Total Uganda said that Total Uganda will continue to sponsor such events that bring Ugandans together to celebrate culture.

“As a responsible partner and major player in the business activities of this great city, we have actively participated in the festival since 2013, and every year our sponsorship has grown. We started small by simply providing a safe parking hub for the fire brigade and police, to where we became a gold sponsor in 2014 and now as Platinum sponsors under our Totalgaz brand,” Ms. Tusiime said.

She noted that Totalgaz is thrilled to be part of the festival because celebration, merrymaking and great food because that is what Totalgaz embodies. “We provide a clean energy, efficient, affordable, dependable and reliable cooking source that appeals to a wide audience, from the young adults all the way to large families and various food businesses such as hotels and restaurants,” Ms. Tusiime said.

Totalgaz will be on promotion at all our participating stations within Kampala and also in all the food zones during the festival.

“We encourage the public to take advantage of this promotional period which will run from August 24 until 4th October, the day of the festival,” she said.

From a themed procession to an exhilarating concert by Ugandan musicians, the full programme consists of photographic and art exhibitions, tours and trails, street performances, large-scale interactive installations and even a fashion show!
