FT Uganda 47-59 Jamaica
Uganda’s dream of reaching semifinals at the 2015 Netball World Cup in Sydney hit a dead end after a 59-47 loss to the Jamaican Sunshine Girls in Pool E, game played at the Allphones Arena on Thursday.
Goal shooter Rachael Nanyonga netted 29 goals with skipper and team Captain Peace Proscovia returned 18 but their efforts could not hold.
Jamaica, ranked 4th globally won the entire four sets although in the last set Uganda revived to finish it 15-12 on score.
Uganda will play New Zealand in their pool E last game a side that beat them three days before the Netball world Cup official opener in a build-up match.
