Preparations are in high gear for celebrations to mark the first anniversary of the now famous Phaneroo fellowship.
Legendary gospel artiste, Kathy Troccoli will be the main music act as part of its first anniversary celebrations scheduled between 13-15 August.
Phaneroo, a Greek word loosely translated as ‘to make manifest’, is a fellowship gathering of over three thousand men and women and happens every Thursday between 5pm-8pm at the MTN arena, Lugogo in Kampala. The ministry’s anniversary celebrations are an indelible cornerstone of history; a critical building block on its eternal legacy.
Troccoli -locally renowned for her 1995 hit single “Go Light Your World”- will be part of the strong cast of artistes to perform during the Worship Night the second day of the anniversary celebrations -Friday, 14 August at Lugogo Hockey Grounds.
Commenting on the choice of Troccoli, the vision bearer of Phaneroo Apostle Grace Lubega elaborated that;
“We sought a person that has a revelation of worship from the very heart of God and is also able to usher the congregation into these very chambers of God; a person whose lyrics are grounded in the doctrine of Christ that is able to build us up.”
She will not be the only artists taking part in the celebrations, a host of local musicians have been lined up.
Some of the local artistes expected to grace the occassion include; Bishop Isaiah Mbuga, New Testament, Julie Mutesasira, Brian Lubega, the Phaneroo Worship Choir and many more.
Besides Go Light Your World, the two time Gospel Music Association Dove Awards winner, has produced a number of various worship songs that have edified the body of Christ including; Sounds of Heaven, You’re the Heart of Me, Everything Changes, Mission of Love, I Call Him Love and Help Myself to You – her first hit to top the Billboard charts.
