President Museveni told mourners who gathered at the Burial of Late Captain Daniel Musinguzi that he was one of his brilliant pilots who formed a strong team that has immensely contributed in delivering him safely to various destinations in the world to execute his official engagements.
“I came specifically to salute this pilot; one of the pilots who have died of unexpected causes. I therefore, appreciate their contributions. I want you the people of Uganda to be thankful to these pilots. Whatever they are doing, they are also making their contribution. I salute this pilot for the tremendous work he has done,” Museveni said while at the burial.
President Museveni told the mourners some challenging moments the pilots faced in the air while flying old jets that were of short range and how they successfully overcame those challenges adding that the Executive flight team fight his flight battles in the air while he handles the ground battles.
Museveni was speaking to mourners at the burial of the late Captain Daniel Musinguzi at his home in Bulindi-Kyabigambire Sub-County, Bugahya County in Hoima district on Wednesday 17th July 2015.
Late Captain Daniel’s Career
He served in various organizations of the aviation industry ranging from being an Instructor at Soroti Flying School, a pilot at Bel Air and also in the then Uganda Airlines.
He joined the Executive flight team under State House in 2004 where he worked until his death
