Christians Gather Evidence to Pin Pastor for Sexual Exploitation

Fresh trouble is brewing for Pastor Emmanuel Gasasira, the founder of Girugari Ministries in Kakoba ward in Kakoba division in Mbarara municipality.

Gasasira was recently expelled from Kakoba division by the local authorities following numerous complaints of extortion by his followers.

Some of his followers have started collecting evidence to pin the pastor on allegations of sexual exploitation and extortion. Enid Katabahenda, the former host of Gasasira’s churches says that, the pastor has been extorting huge sums of money from his female believers with promises of performing for extra ordinary miracles.

Katabahenda says that she accepted to host Gasasira two years ago because he looked an honest person, but he started charging thereafter and started luring young girls and people’s wives into satanic acts in the name of performing miracles.

Lois Koburunga is a victim of the pastor’s scheme.Koburunga says that she lost her marriage after her husband discovered that she had got a loan of UGX 3.5 million for a money lender on the directives of the pastor so as to pray for her to get riches.

As a result, Koburunga says she has teamed up other Christians to gather evidence to pin pastor Gasasira for sexual exploitation and extortion, which they will hand over to police and the pastor’s fellowship.

Asuman Matovu, the the chairperson LC1 Kakoba central cell says Pastor Gasasira was expelled from their area for alleged misconduct.

Alex Ahabwe, the spokeperson of the pastor’s fellowship says they have already blacklisted Gasasira as a wrong doer, adding that, they are already compiling evidence to present to police to have him repatriated back to his home country Rwanda.

Pastor Gasasira refutes all allegations brought against him saying Ugandan pastors are jealousy of his ability to attract huge crowds of believers and perform miracles.

Gasasira also said that the same group of Ugandan pastors worked with local council officials in Kakoba division to evict him but he has managed to relocate to Kamukuzi division.
