Lonyesi’s Police Regain Top Spot After Thumping Sadolin

Police have moved back to go top of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) when they beat Sadolin Paints  3-1 at Kavumba on Tuesday.

The Cops leads the log with 11 points from a possible 12 now.

Angello Lonyesi’s men capitalized on the postponement of leaders SC Villa’s game against third placed Bright Stars to cement an opening bold statement to the start of the league being one of five teams still unbeaten.

Siraje Ssevume scored for Police in the 10th minute but Sudi Kayemba cancelled his effort towards the half hour mark though the cops made sure they got maximum points with lanky striker Peter Ssenyonjo and league top scorer, Umar Kasumba scoring the other two goals.

Elsewhere, Matia Lule’s Entebbe football club, win-less in 3 games so far have fallen 3-0 to Vialli Bainomugisha’s  Lweza at Wankukuluku stadium.  Forward Fred Kalanzi scored a brace and Julius Mutyaba finished the job.
