Ibrahim Sekagya To Be Out Of Action For Two Weeks

Ibrahim SekagyaEx-Uganda Cranes skipper Ibrahim Sekagya will be out for two weeks for New York Red Bulls side.

The defender sustained a groin injury last week when his team stopped Toronto FC 3-1 in the US Major League Soccer (MLS). “I have to be out of action for two weeks,” he told MLSsoccer.com.

New York Red Bulls who are led in attack by former Arsenal star Thierry Henry will next play at Sporting Kansas City on Sunday.

“That’s what I’m doing now, just try to take the time so that I come back when I’m feeling already good,” said Sekagya. The former KCCA FC defender in the Ugandan League said he is not rushing to be back because they have two important games right now. “I just want to be back exactly when I’m fit so that I can come back to the team without injury,” he said

Midfielder Micheal Azira who was invited to the Cranes squad last year for a 2014 World Cup qualifier against Senegal is another Ugandan featuring in the MSL for Seattle Sounders FC.
