Striker Brian Umony is expected to make a return for KCCA FC this afternoon when they face SC Vipers FC in a 2014/2015 Uganda Premier League (UPL) tie at the Buikwe ground. Vipers have won three straight games by a 1-0 scoreline.

The Cranes striker who featured in the team’s 1-0 loss away to Togo last week in a 2015 Afcon qualifier has not played for his new clubs because of injury. “I am ready to feature for my club now and hopefully we can get back to winning ways,” said Umony who signed last month after his contract with Tanzanian Champions Azam FC was terminated.

Another Cranes player Brian Majwega who also missed KCCA FC’s shock 1-0 loss to Sadolin Paints FC last week will feature in the match. Majwega who attended a week of trials with South African top side SuperSport United FC has also missed two of KCCA FC’s three League games this season.

KCCA FC who are placed in 11th place have been struggling in-form and must be at their best against a SC Vipers side that has won all their three matches. Back to form Farouk Miya is expected to lead SC Vipers togetther with former TP Mazembe midfielder Mike Mutyaba.

SC Villa who missed the chance to go top of the log last week after their game against Express FC was abandoned because of crowd trouble will face Bidco FC away in Jinja, while Soana Fc face Lweza FC.

KCC on their part have won just one of their three games, drawing the other and losing another. They languish in 12th with just four points, five behind third-placed Vipers.

In Lugazi, URA – who have won none of their four games and are third from bottom with three points, will hope to register their first victory when they host SCVU at Lugazi.

SCVU, the other side yet to concede a goal this season, will meanwhile look to improve on the single goal they have managed in four games. They are eighth with seven points.
