Uganda vs Togo
Ghana vs Guinea
Uganda Cranes have embarked on preparations for a vital 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) tie against Togo on Saturday at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
Cranes Head Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic said that although he respects the West African side because of its quality and experienced players he trusts that the cranes side can perfumer remarkably if they stick to the game plan.
South African based professional Geoffrey Massa who leads the scorers chart for the Afcon qualifiers with four goals also said they have to be very cautious and try to create as many chances, but also be tight in the defence wing.
Micho is likely to have a rough time choosing on which strikers to start the game. Fred Katende, the Cranes media officer confirmed to us on Tuesday morning that all players are now at the camp in Sky Hotel, Naalya. These include all professional players including skipper Andy Mwesigwa and Tony Mawejje.
The Cranes attack is also beefed up by players who have been in good form lately including Daniel Ssserunkuma who netted a hat-trick in a Kenya Premier League last weekend, Yunus Junior Ssentamu who has propelled AS Vita to the CAF Champions League final and William Luwagga Kizito who scored a brace for his team in Portugal’s Second Division tie on Sunday.
The Cranes lead Group E with four points, with a better goal difference than Ghana who also the same number of points. Guinea is third on three points, while Togo is bottom with no point.
