News reaching our desk reveals that the top brass of the leading opposition party Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has called for an emergency meeting to discus how to forge the way forward after the resignation of its two senior officials three days ago.
Jack Sabiti, the party treasurer for the Forum for Democratic Change and his deputy Nandala Mafabi tendered in their resignations citing breaches in the party constitution and financial problems.
The two politicians have been among the most vocal and active members of the party, quitting their slots is likely to push the once powerful opposition to the edge.
Mafabi further revived his hostility with his boss Mugisha Muntu accusing him of steering the party in a wrong direction ahead of the 2016 general elections.
Efforts to get a comment from Gen Muntu were futile as his known telephone number was switched off.
However, Alice Alaso, Secretary-General of FDC says the party can do without the two members but Red Pepper Online edition is told all is not well in Najjankumbi. Watch his space.
