If you spot city comedian Patrick Idringi, aka Salvado walking with a swagger lately, don’t be surprised after our moles spotted him smiling from the bank early Monday morning on signing a dealwortha few millions to feature at the upcoming Kampala City Festival.
The festival which is slated for October 5th at the Railway Gardens is expected to attract over one million patriotic citizens, doubling the number that turned up for last year’s then “carnival”.
With all those number of ribs to crack, Salvado will have to work twice as hard to ensure that the masses keep their white teeth atop lest he fails to get another bonus share of the millions that have been pumped into the festival by the likes of Bell, Ruparelia group, Roofings and MTN among others. Bell alone has pumped in the festival shs150 million as a platinum sponsor.
“Every opportunity I get to be on stage is a blessing, I’m Of course thrilled to have been chosen among the performers so I’m gonna do what I always do. Perform like it’s my first time,” the father of one told our snoops when contacted for a comment.
Salvado will perform alongside the crème de la crème musicians of Uganda including Cindy, the dynamic duo- Radio and Weasel, Sheeba and Pallaso, Chameleon and Eddy Kenzo while confirmations are yet to be made with other comedians.
Last year, over thirty artistes were signed on to the festival including the Goodlyfe duo of Radio and Weasel, Ragga Dee, Jackie Chandiru, Lilian Mbabazi, Coco Finger, Khalifa Aganaga and Mesach Semakula among others.
