Uganda’s League Champions KCCA FC has confirmed that Brian Majwega will travel to South Africa for trials with top ABSA Premier League side Super Sport United FC.
David Tamale, the KCCA club secretary told URN this morning that they received a request from Super Sport United FC to release the player for 30 days for trials.
However, Tamale says they have communicated to Super Sport United FC that they will only release the attacking midfielder for two weeks because they will need him for the start of the league.
Uganda’s premier league, which was delayed by a petition by Maroon FC is scheduled to start on September 19th Majwega who scored one of the goals in Uganda Cranes 2-0 win over Mauritan in the preliminary round of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers is expected to travel on Wednesday.
Early this month three other Cranes’ players Moses Oloya, Savio Kabugo and Denis Iguma also had trials with another South African side Bidvest Wits University. But the outcome of the trials has not been communicated.
