Amama Mbabazi is now the former Prime Minister of the republic of Uganda.
Sources from state house have confirmed that Amama Mbabazi has been replaced by health Minister Ruhakana Rugunda.
In a letter sent to the speaker of Parliament Hon Rebecca Kadaga, the president thanked Amama Mbabazi for the contribution he has made to this country.
Museveni has therefore in line with article 108A (1) of the Constitution of Uganda forwarded Rugunda’s name for parliamentary approval.
Sources close to State house have revealed that Amama Mbabazi will be appointed the presidential advisor and unconfirmed reports reveal that Gen Aronda Nyakairima has also been fired from the cabinet.
Amama fell out with President Museveni when he ‘opposed’ president Museveni’s sole candidature in the coming 2016 presidential elections.
