High Court in the Ugandan capital Kampala on Friday acquitted Adam Suleiman Kalungi, the man convicted of manslaughter in connection with the death of the late Butaleja Woman Member of Parliament Cerinah Nebanda.

In January this year, Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court in Kampala convicted Adam Kalungi for manslaughter in connection with the death of Cerinah Nebanda.

Adam Kalungi was sentenced to four years in jail in connection to the death of Cerinah Nebanda.

Adam Kalungi’s 5 co-accused were acquitted of the same charge.

It is alleged that on the 14th of December, while at Buziga, a Kampala suburb, Kalungi caused the unlawful death of Cerina Nebanda.

Cerinah Nebanda passed away on December 14 at Mukwaya General Clinic in Kampala and  an autopsy report revealed that multiple chemicals including cocaine and heroin were found in her blood samples.

After her death, Kalungi took to his heels after delivering the former legislator together with  friend to Mukwaya General Clinic where she was pronounced dead.

  1. The mind at last is at rest. Finally Ugndans can know they their thought was right. people would say someone was just a mere shadow to protect baloon stommached murderers behind curtain.
To Kalungi’s family, Congs for you are innocent but your son’s greed for money will land him death one time.
Rest in Peace HOn. Nebanda. we shall get to know who actually killed you in the future. we are still persistent on core values of moving Uganda to top with one President working “Tirelessly” to this goal. we are at zero step still as you left us but he has put in more energy, may be by 2040 we shall have a vision 2080, and guess what he will not have tuned into wind to dry up clothes.

  2. Many people had suspected he was being used and therefore would be released sometime later. This leaves Uganda at God’s mercy and it definitely needs a lot of prayers.
