On Monday, more than 800 medical workers under KCCA laid down their tools to protest nonpayment of their salaries for the past four months.

Some of the health workers are complained of unpaid allowances. However, this afternoon the medical workers resolved to call off the strike following a meeting between their representatives and KCCA officials as their grievances are resolved.

They gave Jennifer Kagwa, the director of human resource and administration at KCCA up to Friday this week to pay their salaries or else they resume the strike.
