FUFA Super League reigning champions, KCC have completed the signing of striker Francis Sembatya from Lweza FC.
The diminutive striker has signed a three-year contract, ending his six month stay with the Kajjansi based side in which he scored 6 goals in just 4 starts.
‘’Sembatya is now a KCC player after realizing him and has already signed a long term deal with the club, ‘assured Lweza head coach Vialli Bainomugisha.
‘’He has been one of our best players at the club but we had nothing to do to stop his move as our policy is clear. We will never stand in a player’s way. We shall miss him but we wish him well at his new work place.’’
The former KB Lions and Bright Stars star striker’s brilliant performance in the second round of the just concluded FUFA Big League helped the club win promotion to Super League as well as winning the FUFA Big League title.
Sembatya adds to the frontline options of head coach George Nsimbe,who has already Herman Wasswa, Derrick Nsibambi, Micheal Birungi, new recruit Paul Muchulezi and Tony Odur whose deal to Sudanese EL Merrickh is expected to have hit a snag.
The team has already signed forward Paul Muchulezi from Mutundwe Lion and shot stopper Ashadu Bugembe from Kiira young on three year deals.
The club is also in negotiations with Proline left back Simon Namwanja, striker Brian Umony and midfielder Owen Kasule about the possibilities of joining the club.
