Uganda U 17 Leave Thursday For Seychelles

Forget the senior Uganda Cranes team that are perennial bad travellers, this new look Uganda national U-17 have vowed to slug it out in Victoria, Seychelles and come up with the most advantageous result from the first leg of the 2015 African U-17 championships qualifier against the Island nation on Saturday at Unity Stadium, Mahe.

The 18-man team has a last training session at Nakivubo on Wednesday evening before departing Uganda for Seychelles on Thursday morning aboard Kenya Airways.

Right back, Andrew Okiring a S.5 player who studies in Carlisle in the United States has been picked as the team captain. He is son to former FUFA Normalization committee chairman, Patrick Isiagi.

Gor Mahia Academy player, Emmanuel Olinga is Vice Captain of the team that has been camping at Njeru Techincal center.

The return leg will be played on 28th June 2014 at 4 pm, Nakivubo Stadium 5,000/= (Open stands), 10,000/= (Pavilion).
