Recently, the Emceeing industry in Uganda turned into a professional job with many young and energetic Ugandans reaping big from this untapped section.
Comedians, Radio and TV personalities are the people that have enjoyed the juicy fruits of this Emceeing industry.
Notable examples that have reaped big include Roger Mugisha, Brian Mackenzie, Mc Kats, Alex Muhangi, Anne Kansiime, Patrick Salvador, Agaba Tumusiime, Abby Mukiibi, Patricko Mujjuka, Flavia Tumusiime and many more.
Over the years, Roger Mugisha has been outstanding at this game but there has been room for improvement for other Emcees.
Alex Muhangi is one of comedians that have raided the emceeing industry with great force and results of hard work are the several gigs that have been coming his way for years.
Ever since he started hosting the Search for Miss Uganda, Alex got exposure on both national and international platforms and as we speak, the funniest Mukiga is selling like a hot cake among corporate companies.
He has scooped emceeing gigs in countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, USA, London and Rwanda.
Recently, he hosted the Churchill comedy show which is rated as one of the biggest comedy shows in East and Central Africa.
In August, Alex will host the Ugandan North American Association convention scheduled to take place from August 29 to August 31 in San Diego California USA.
He will then host the Uganda-UK convention that will be held in London come September this year.
Alex attributes his success to hard work and continued support from his fans.
“Whenever am behind the mic, people give me the energy to keep them happy and smiling throughout the function,” said Alex.
“However much emceeing is more of a talent; hard work is also needed to polish the talent that I have. I make sure that I exercise the highest confidence level while am on stage.”
Alex will today evening host the second edition of Dreams and Cocktails party at GatoMato in Bugolobi a Kampala suburb.
