According to radio outlet ‘103.4 Juice FM,’ Brian Omony, the Uganda attacker sought after by many regional clubs, such as SCVU, AFC Leopards, Gor and Yanga, is on the verge of signing for Super league team Kampala City Council.
Juice FM believe that a deal is very close to being agreed between all parties, and that Omony’s return to Lugogo is all but complete. They say that Cranes striker signing with George Nsimbe’s Ugandan champions for a short spell like he did when he returned from Vietnam in 2012 is ‘certain’. David Tamale, the KCCA FC secretary also confirmed that talks are already ongoing and anything could happen before the end of the month.
Umony said Monday after training with the national team at KCC’s Omondi Stadium, Lugogo that he left the Ice Cream makers Azam FC. He attributed his short spell with Azam FC to injury troubles he has had since joining the team in January last year.
Umony however said he was happy that they compensated the reaming six months on the contract.
