Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is in Brussels to attend the 4th European Union-African summit slated to open today at the EU headquarters in Belgium.
The summit will take place at the Council in Justus Lipsius building in Brussels Wednesday and Thursday.
The 2-day Summit is expected to be attended by Heads of State and Government from all the European Union member states including the European Council President.
The meeting is running under the theme of “Investing in People, prosperity and Peace.”
The deliberations will include such topics like Peace, Security, Investment, Climate Change and Immigration.
According to Sarah Kagingo, the Special Presidential Assistant On Communications, President Museveni was seen off at Entebbe International Airport Tuesday morning by the Vice-President, Mr. Edward Ssekandi. Others at the Airport to see him off included the Deputy Head of the Public Service, Ms. Hilda Musubira, the Commander of Air Force, Gen. Sam Turyagyenda and other senior security officials.
